    Local Toys for Local Tots

The Henniker Chamber of Commerce launched a “Local Toys for Local Tots” Toy Drive for Henniker children. Since items put in the nationally known donation boxes at local retailers don't stay local, the Henniker Chamber of Commerce teamed up with local businesses to collect toys for families in Henniker. Boxes were set up for drop off locations including the Henniker Farm & Country Store, Henniker Pharmacy, Intervale Pancake House, Edmunds Ace Hardware, TD Bank, New England College and St. George’s Café.

In addition to the many toys that were placed in the donation boxes, over $600 of monetary donations was used to purchase gifts from local Henniker businesses. Toys were distributed through White Birch Community Center, The Congregational Church of Henniker and St Theresa's Catholic Church. Many families in Henniker were able to select a toy from all the donations.

“We are happy that the local community embraced this toy drive for our local children and that we were able to coordinate it through our local Henniker businesses,” said Rick Hall, Henniker Chamber of Commerce President. Thank you to everyone who helped give a Henniker child a Merry Christmas!
