This 20-piece Big Band with 20+ years of experience performing at events ranging from casual to black tie and from outdoor concerts to elegant dinner dances, weddings and anniversary parties, will delight you with jazz and swing favorites of the 1930’s and 1940’s. From Glenn Miller to Duke Ellington and Ella Fitzgerald to Frank Sinatra. This is the perfect way to begin your Mother’s Day celebration. Best of all, it is free although donations are gratefully accepted.
During intermission, the Henniker Concert Committee will unveil the upcoming summer concert series, which begins on June 11th with a Blues and Brews Festival in Community Park. Come and find out what else is “on tap” this summer. We will have a few of our returning favorites and lots of new performers at the Angela Robinson Bandstand this summer. The full summer concert schedule will be distributed at the Preview concert.
Following the concert, join the Band in the Parish Hall for dessert and coffee, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Henniker.
The summer schedule includes a special Salute to Independence Day on Tuesday July 2nd with the Newmont Military Band from Keene, NH. For this concert, we are inviting local non-profits to host fund raisers with food concessions. Contact committee member Milli Knudsen at email@example.com if your group would like to participate and let us know what “typical” Independence Day favorite you’d like to sell that night.
The Henniker Summer Concert Series, sponsored by the Town of Henniker, is the place to be on Tuesday evenings in Henniker for the best free entertainment in the area. Young and old gather in Community Park each week to hear extraordinary local, regional, national and international musicians in a casual setting. We dance, sing-a-long, visit with our neighbors and enjoy family time. It’s what makes us a community. For more information on the Summer Series, go to firstname.lastname@example.org
